Job description Senior Tech Lead
Shero Commerce is looking for a Senior Technical Lead to join our team. The Senior Technical Lead position is a key role at Shero. It requires a high level of technical expertise in PHP, ecommerce platforms, and related technology, plus management of development, organization and planning skills, and direct communication with our clients.
Please note: the successful candidate must be able to work 100% onsite at our offices in Tirana.
Job duties of this Role:
Technical
- Develop professional amp; industry standard solutions to task requirements
- Master the skills required to complete your team’s projects.
- Develop on new and existing client projects built using the E-Commerce platform
- Architect and write custom extensions according to best practices
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable code
- Meet with clients to solve complex technical problems; explain solutions to them in an easy to understand way
- Identify quality marketplace extensions and optimize production efforts
- Maintain high performing codebases and solve complex performance problems
- Support architecting and estimating resources for E-Commerce projects
- Communicate and collaborate with developers on the team
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
Leadership
- Be the technical lead and the first line of support for developers in your team.
- Lead the team’s growth through hiring, training, coaching, and mentorship.
- Mentor Shero developers, especially Tech Leads, in both technical and leadership skills.
- Provide clear goals amp; expectations for the team. Delegate tasks and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Analyze existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.
- Lead internal improvements. Identify amp; lead developers in improving Shero processes, workflows, technology, training, documentation, and more.
- Collaborate with Sales amp; Client Service teams on sales opportunities. Work with them to estimate amp; propose technical solutions to leads amp; clients.
- Motivate staff and create a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
- Be transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
- Write progress reports and deliver presentations to internal Shero leadership and, when necessary, clients.
- Champion amp; foster Shero culture amp; values.

Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years PHP web development experience
- Minimum of 2 years real-world e-commerce development experience, Magento (Adobe) development experience
- Competent with PHP object-oriented programming amp; MVC applications
- Competent with MySQL-based database concepts
- Solid knowledge of modern HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks, such as jQuery, React and Angular
- Thorough understanding of E-Commerce platform’s code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components
- Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization and relationships
- Competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQuery
- Understanding of general business practices. You understand how all the pieces come together to create a successful business operation.
- Advanced English language skills

- At least 3 years’ experience leading a technical team.
