Ecommerce WordPress Developer

Shero Commerce is a full service, global ecommerce agency. We’re looking for an experienced ecommerce developer to be our in-house WordPress guru.

You’ll work with our clients, plus Shero Project Managers and Developers, to build and maintain gorgeous and gorgeously functional WordPress websites.

This position needs balance. You’ll serve aesthetics and functionality, with both front end and back end development. Since you’ll be our go-to WordPress expert, you’ll need a deep understanding of the technology, its strengths, possibilities, and limitations. This is not an entry level position. Experience working with a professional development team to solve real-world, complex challenges is a must.

Role Details

• Location: Tirana, Albania
• Salary: Negotiable based on experience amp; location

• Meeting with clients to discuss website design and function.
• Designing and building the website front-end.
• Creating the website architecture.
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
• Upgrading WordPress themes and plugins,
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting content issues.
• Conducting WordPress training with the client.
• Monitoring the performance of the live website.
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development

• Experience with:
  • Other common frameworks (like Magento, Shopify, etc.)
  • PWA amp; headless frontend approaches
  • SEO/SEM best practices
  • Agile development
  • Jira amp; the Atlassian suite
  • Industry-standard design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • PHP
  • NodeJS or other web server-side technologies
  • Git
